A Colorado guy acted quickly to rescue his dog’s life, engaging in combat with a mountain lion that had attacked the dog. The mountain lion was killed.
He says he’s become accustomed to seeing animals in his backyard, which borders public space, and that he enjoys it.
However, when he took his 9-year-old boxer Sadie for a walk early one morning last week, they came face to face with a mountain lion, which almost murdered the dog.
Before letting Sadie off the leash, Whannel surveyed the hillside near his house with a flashlight, seeking the reflection of any predators’ eyes, before releasing her.
However, when he heard his dog moan, he realized something was wrong.
