Dog’s barking woke Joel up in the middle of the night, a Florida man was determined not to be irritated by the situation. He claims that their barks saved his life from a blazing fire in the woods.
When Joel Rosa woke up in the middle of the night on Wednesday, his dog, Maggie, rushed to his side and assisted him in getting out of his burning house in Tangerine, Florida, saving both their lives.
“I really like this dog,” Rosa expressed her affection for the animal. “She woke me up at 3 a.m. by barking. She was a good dog.” When I awoke, I was shocked by the sound of rain on the roof. Consequently, I walked outside from the upper porch and saw a fire on the right side of the building. It was pretty frightening, particularly frightening since I’m attempting to… “At first, I believed that I could stop it myself, even if I had to do it from outside.”
Firefighters were sent to the scene and operated in defensive mode since the flames had penetrated the roof of the second story, according to authorities.
On one side of the building, there was a partial collapse.
A lightning strike from yesterday’s storms struck the home, and the lightning remained within the roof for many hours, according to investigators.
