When Starla was shot, Ewing’s niece made a dash for it. ‘
According to Ewing, “as she was rushing out, one of them held the pistol and asked the other whether they wanted them to kill her.”
His niece wasn’t shot because both of the guys were distracted by Starla, and Ewing claims this is why.
The dog’s owner stated, “The dog was chasing after them.” “Even after being shot,” he continues.
The intruders then got into their vehicle and drove away.
Ewing referred to the guys as “cowards” and urged anybody with information to come forward.
