Maria recalls the day she met the dog who would become her companion as if it had happened yesterday. She was wandering near the local school on that particular day when she came across a lovely, but afraid and hungry dog, whom she adopted. Due to the fact that the infant was so young and frail, it is impossible to tell what could have been waiting for it on the street.
Then Masha made the decision that she would take the dog home with her. As soon as they arrived at their destination, the girl fed the puppy, which promptly went asleep curled up in a ball. Finally, the infant could fall asleep without being concerned that someone might be offended by his or her presence.
Betty was the dog’s given name. Maria can’t think what she would do if she didn’t have her pet anymore! It has been one year and three months since the dog has become a part of Masha’s family.
