Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it has also gotten dogs into some tricky situations in the past.
On Tuesday, the Kern County Fire Department in California received a report about a dog that had gotten himself into a tough place.
According to the fire department’s Facebook page, “a very inquisitive dog received some much-needed assistance this morning after his head became jammed in a fence.”
As described in the blog article, the dog was a little white dog that managed to get his or her head wedged between the diamonds of a chain-link fence. The firemen needed to use some heavy equipment in order to rescue the small canine.․․
Using the ‘Jaws of Life,’ the firemen were able to save this young kid near an elementary school in Lamont, according to a statement posted on social media by Kern County Fire Department.․․
A video of the rescue shows one fireman delicately cutting through the fence encircling the dog’s head with the jaws of life, while another firefighter lovingly takes the puppy in his arms. Eventually, the jaws of life open up enough to allow the pup to be dragged out and released from his cage.
“He was uninjured and extremely delighted to be rescued!” said the last sentence of a Facebook post about the rescue.
