‘Do you know this missing dog?’ read a simple sign constructed from torn-up cardboard and magic marker, with the message: ‘Do you know this lost dog?’ The adorable canine and the charming gentleman carrying the placard, on the other hand, attracted a lot of attention.
The number of people honking and stopping to snap photographs and videos were high. One lady came to a complete halt in the middle of the road.
In Charlotte, North Carolina, on a Friday night, the 40-year-old was driving around and saw a few people pulled over, attempting to corral a dog that was dashing in and out of traffic on a major highway…
Eventually, the chocolate Lab was calmed down enough for Gasparik, who works in sales for a manufacturing firm, to be able to take her home and begin hunting for her owner.
It took the group roughly an hour to get the chocolate Lab to this point.
He brought the lab to a 24-hour vet in the hopes that her microchip might be of assistance, but the chip turned out to be unregistered. So he posted about the dog on Facebook and a few local websites in the hopes of receiving some responses by the next morning.
“I was sitting with her on Saturday morning, wondering about what more I could do for her. And then, like a real dork, I went and stood out on the sidewalk with her, my sign in hand.”
Local photographer Eben Adrian grabbed a shot of the two, and the image quickly went popular on the internet.
“That’s when everything really took off. I was being smacked in the face left and right. “I couldn’t keep up with all of the texts that were coming in.”
It took him three hours to stand there, while the dog’s owner was frantically driving about looking for Roxy in the while.
Due to the fact that he is an elderly person with back troubles and is unable to walk adequately, he was driving with his windows down and screaming her name.
As the guy was hunting for his dog, he was approached by a lady who had seen the photograph of Gasparik and Roxy and handed him the photograph.
He claims that the woman contacted him via the neighborhood website and informed him that she had located the dog’s owner…
Roxy’s ears pricked up as soon as she spotted him and she ran up to him, who was holding all of the documents proving that he was the rightful owner. In addition, of course, he had a slew of photographs of her on his iPhone.”
Gasparik says he intends to keep in contact with Roxy and her new owner, and he has pledged to visit Roxy on a regular basis to take her for walks…
He is unable to walk her much, and you could see while she was with me that she enjoyed going for walks, so I want to pay a visit to her over the weekend when he is able…
A large number of ladies contacted me in response to the picture, asking for dates.
“One woman volunteered to take us in as her guests!”
Gasparik, on the other hand, claims to be a freshly single man who is taking things gently in the dating sector.
“I’m still trying to get my head around everything. It had been a very busy weekend. It was fascinating to see the power of social media in action.
In so many cases, there is a lot of negative things, but in this situation, there was a lot of good stuff. It was heartwarming to see how many individuals were eager to assist in the search for Roxy’s owner.”
