If you are an animal lover searching for a way to give back to those who have served in the armed forces on Veterans Day, the Paws of War organization may be able to help you.․․
The humanitarian organization’s activities are based on supporting soldiers in caring for their pets and rescuing the animals with whom they get connected while on deployment, according to its website.․․
Paws of War is raising awareness for three army soldiers who are hoping to rehome the puppies they rescued while fighting overseas on Veterans Day, in conjunction with the American Red Cross.․․
Three members of the military, Pfc. AJ, Sgt. Johns, and Spc. Miley, are attempting to return a trio of previously stray puppies to their respective homes so that they can be cherished and cared for by their families. The puppies have been named Strawberry, Luna Moon, and Duchess by the military personnel.․․
This was accomplished via the efforts of Paws of War, which has significant experience with the difficult (and costly) procedures of relocating a pet from one country to another.․․
According to a news release from Dereck Cartright, a disabled veteran who works with Paws of War, “Those wishing to show support this Veterans Day may do so by aiding us with our critical aim.
According to him, “people may contribute to the joy of three families while simultaneously assuring the safety and well-being of three magnificent dogs.”
When the three servicemen stumbled upon the puppies on a road near their foreign camp, they were overjoyed and took them in. Their generosity allowed them to take in the pups, who were shaking and hungry when they were found, and give them with food, cuddles, and a safe haven.
When the soldiers returned to the United States, they each adopted one of the puppies and informed their families back home of their intentions to bring their new pets along with them.
The puppies should be able to begin their voyage to the United States in the near future, thanks to the generosity of Paws and Wars and a number of kind donors. At least for the time being, the soldiers’ families, especially their children, are waiting with bated breath for the arrival of the puppies.
In a statement released after the publication of Paws of War, Spc. Miley said that “Duchess would ideally be a birthday present for my child in a few weeks.” “The Duchess is already well-known to him, and he looks forward to the day when he will be able to engage in friendly competition with her.․․
Dukes will be a fantastic birthday present for him, and being able to keep her safe by sending her back home will be a fantastic birthday present for me as well as a fantastic birthday gift for him.”
