The dog was killed when it ran into the road after being scared by fireworks… Watch the video…

Dexter, the dog of Judith and Malcolm Watson, shivered and cowered when fireworks went off in the area surrounding their house on Bonfire Night. The Labrador Staffie cross was startled out of the room by a loud noise, and by the time Judith located him, the traumatized dog had fainted in the downstairs bathroom…

Unfortunately, the much-loved pet passed away there. This tragic event occurred at the couple’s house in Middlesbrough, Teesside, when Malcolm, 67, went out to purchase some fish and chips…

Judith, 63, called Malcolm to tell him to come home immediately, but there was nothing that could be done to rescue Dexter, and the couple’s two-year-old granddaughter is distraught.

The incident is one of many that occurred over the weekend, each involving canines who had been traumatized by pyrotechnics. Following the fireworks scare in Roath, Cardiff, Garry and Ceri Hamilton’s dog Cadi was driven over and killed by a passing vehicle…

The couple had just let her out into the garden to attend to the call of nature when she was startled by a series of loud explosions, which drove her to flee the scene…

He told Wales Online that his wife “must have freaked out and left in some way,” but that before he could go looking for her, he received information that she had been struck and killed by a vehicle…

Cadi’s microchip had our contact information, which was discovered by the local veterinarian, who then phoned us to inform us of the terrible news.”

“We’re devastated, she was such a wonderful dog, and she was really loving,” the father of two children said. I cherished our strolls together.

“I simply want to warn other pet owners that, even after Bonfire Night has passed, they should continue to keep a watchful check on their pets.”

As the holiday season approaches, people will still be lighting off fireworks, and we don’t want what happened to Cadi to happen to anybody else’s dog.

Malcolm and Judith, from Middlesbrough, also wish to emphasize the need for this caution.

“So many things are going to change for us,” Judith, a Tesco employee, said. We have suffered the loss of a member of our family.

“At first, I thought he was simply shivering about in there, but he was completely flat on the floor,” Judith, 63, recollected.

“It was only then that I realized he had vanished.”
“I was simply sobbing and embracing the dog for a long time,” the grandmother said.

“I had a strong desire to strike anything at the moment.” There was that thunderous blast, and then another one came after he had already passed away.

“It did ultimately fade down.” Everyone has had their so-called pleasure, but our whole lives have been altered as a result of it all…

“He had a lot of life left in him, and it’s so cruel and stupid that this happened to him.”
According to research conducted by the RSPCA, 62 percent of dogs, 54 percent of cats, and 55 percent of horses experience discomfort when fireworks are shown…

Certain individuals argue that unorganized displays should be prohibited since they cause anxiety to some animals as well as humans who suffer from specific disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or autism…

There have been 828,000 signatures on a petition asking for an immediate revision of the legislation governing pyrotechnics.
