A puppy that arrived at the shelter with broken front paws is…

It was an unusual yet endearing puppy rescue that the Chattanooga Fire Department participated in this past Sunday!

An officer from the Chattanooga Police Dept. took a puppy to one of the agency’s fire stations after discovering the puzzled tan dog with his head caught in a giant blue bottle, according to a Facebook post from the Tennessee fire department…

“Saving the pups!” says the announcer. According to the fire department, “this little guy was just brought to one of our fire halls with his head caught in a bottle, and firemen worked gently to cut him out to liberate him.”

Several images from the rescue were also released by the Chattanooga Fire Department. There is a photograph showing the firemen carefully cutting through the bottle that was wrapped around the puppy’s head, as well as one of the small dogs freed from the bottle and snuggling with his rescuers…

A message from the fire department said, “We’re glad he’s okay!”

Comments on the Facebook post from animal lovers expressed their gratitude for the fire department’s efforts to save animals.

Several commenters praised the team’s efforts, while another expressed gratitude for saving the dog. I think you guys are fantastic!”

As reported by WCRBtv, after being rescued, the puppy was transferred to a local animal shelter, where he was adopted by a member of the staff…

On the Chattanooga Fire Department’s Facebook post about the rescue, another poster said that she had adopted the dog.

As Amy McBryar put it in her letter, “I adopted him.” It is George who has come to see you!

A member of the fire department expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for giving him a nice home!”
