The young lady stood there watching, an injured dog climbed out of the straw, hoping to be saved… And she saved him…

Gordievskaya Larissa, a resident of Volgograd, visited the town on a regular basis to provide food for the village’s street dogs. First and foremost, a red-haired dog, which at each meeting rapidly went to the lady to greet him, wagging his tail in a pleasant way, anticipated Larissa’s arrival…

Larissa had become so used to the dog that she was taken aback when he did not come out to greet her on another occasion. Because the lady was concerned about her four-legged companion, she decided to go in search of him. However, after some time had passed, the dog himself climbed out of a haystack that had been close. He had a commanding presence. He couldn’t see out of one eye, and he hobbled a lot, and he was quite scared…

Without a second thought, Larissa picked up the dog and raced it to the closest veterinary facility, where the wounded eye was successfully removed. The doctors came to the conclusion that the dog had been beaten, and that only a human could have done it…

Following surgery, the ginger dog was treated in a veterinary facility for a period of time. And throughout all of this time, Larissa paid him daily visits. When his rescuer came to him, even though he was in bad condition, the dog was always cheerful…

The dog’s name was given to him by Larissa. Everyone began to refer to him as Pirate.

The care of the animal was covered by the woman’s own funds. But there was a snag in the plan. She had no idea where she was going to take him when he was released. She didn’t get the option to take the dog home since all of the nearby shelters were completely packed. As a result, Larissa had to return him to the streets of the hamlet, where he would have to fend for himself…

No, the lady did not leave the dog to the mercy of the universe as some have claimed. She started looking for a loving home for him with the help of volunteers from the Dino shelter. She was successful…

Of course, hope is the last thing to go, but everyone realized that a non-pedigree one-eyed dog would be of little interest to most people in the world…

However, there is a happy ending to this particular tale. A resident in Canada expressed an interest in bringing the puppy to her…

After that, the only thing left was to convey the dog over the international border. However, the volunteers were fortunate in this instance as well. Caring individuals decided to accompany the animal on its journey, which began by train and then by aircraft.

In the end, Pirate made it to his destination safely and met his new owner, Elena, who resides in the city of Toronto. Everything is going nicely for the Pirate now!
