Sadly, Rikki, the much-loved puppy, is not in the greatest of health, but she is at least secure and at home. Rikki was discovered in a field near Basingstoke, Hampshire, according to Staffordshire Live. She had been missing since earlier this year and had been presumed dead.․․
It was one of eight dachshunds that were kidnapped from Seale Pastures Farm in the Leicestershire hamlet of Acresford on February 10, according to police.․․
This is the third dog from the group to be reunited with his family, after Percy and Muffin, who were both previously reunited with their families.․․
The other five have not been located, but their owners are optimistic that they will be discovered soon.
Rikki’s family expressed their delight at having him back home on Facebook, adding that he is a little worse for wear and requires a lot of attention, but that his owner, Shelley Tomsett, is overjoyed to have him back.․․

Ricki is scarcely recognized as ‘Dog 5’ anymore; he has lost much of his gorgeous ginger coat and has become grey. He has lost weight, has terrible sticky eyes, horrible rub burns on his nose, is filthy and covered with fleas, has enlarged claws, and has very severe frostbitten ears, to name a few things.
“He’s completely spent. He’s out of energy.” Welcome home, little chap; you’re now in a secure place.
