In a nighttime raid on their East Yorkshire house, Keith and Liz Fetches’ three springer spaniels were taken from them, leaving them distraught. Keedy, Jazz, and Robbie have been reunited as a result of a massive social media effort that reached people all across the nation.․․
On February 12, the three spaniels were reported stolen, and after a three-month search, the spaniels were located more than 300 miles apart, in different parts of the country.
Jazz and Robbie were discovered in Lancashire after Robbie was surrendered to a veterinarian in Wigan. Jazz was acquired in Preston by a guy who saw the Facebook ad and contacted a friend of the owners. Robbie was surrendered to a veterinarian in Wigan.․․
Nonetheless, Keedy, the youngest of the three, remained missing, and the Fetches were more concerned.․․
Keedy was rushed to a vet in Canterbury, Kent, by someone who had purchased him online last Friday, after all hope had been lost in saving him.․․
When his microchip was examined by veterinarians, it was discovered that Keith and Liz were his genuine owners, and he was reunited with his long-lost family.
“Keith hasn’t stopped smiling since they got home,” a family friend, Jo Milnes, who lives on a neighboring farm and coordinated the social media plea, told the Yorkshire Post. We are so grateful to the veterinarian in Canterbury who scanned Keedy for a microchip — it is not required by law to scan for a microchip, and I wish it were.․․
Because he was detected as stolen by the database, it’s safe to assume there are many more stolen dogs that have found loving homes but are not their true homes.․․

The Fetches have recently upgraded the security procedures at both the kennels and their cottage, including the installation of CCTV and alarm systems.․․
“We are aware of the worry that dog owners are experiencing as a result of a lot of social media postings involving dog thefts,” said Rich Fussey, a wildlife and heritage crime officer from Humberside Police.․․
“We have not seen an increase in the number of dog attacks in our region, but we would always encourage individuals to adopt some simple crime prevention measures to safeguard their own pets.”

In the event your dog is kenneled outdoors, please make certain that they are safe and secured. If at all feasible, consider installing surveillance cameras to monitor your property.
You must keep your dog under complete and appropriate supervision and visible at all times while you are out with your dog. You must also avoid keeping your dog tied up in a public location or outside of stores.․․
