People find it difficult to tell the difference between this miniature horse and Great Dane since they have the same markings and are the same size.
Fudge, a miniature gelding known as Hot Fudge Sundae, has been fascinated with Skye since they first met in December 2020.
Due to their almost similar brown and white coloration and 31-inch height from the floor to the shoulder, the animals seem to be identical twins. As well as sharing a physical resemblance, Skye, 1, and Fudge, 12, like spending time together and sharing tight hugs.․․
‘Which one is the horse?’ or ‘Is this a pretty enormous dog or a really little horse?'” Ilonka, the animals’ owner in Texas, tells SWNS.
Fudge and my other miniature ponies have a different connection with Skye than my first Great Dane, the owner said. Her and Fudge are constantly playing or cuddling each other. Skye is infatuated with Fudge and wants to spend all her time with him.”
As a child, Skye had little interest in other animals.
While trying to introduce her to the horses as a puppy, Ilonka stated, “she was scared of the horses and would even bury her face in my neck.” As a result, she’s constantly wanting to cuddle up with them, particularly the little ponies like Fudge.
Horses and dogs have many characteristics, and these two are no exception.” The owner of Skye and Fudge, who are closest friends, said that they like working and training together. For them, merely grazing in the backyard would be tedious, since they are constantly eager to do something new.
“They always want to be in the same spot,” she noted, “whether it is training in the arena or just trotting to the truck.”
There is a noticeable difference in size between these two fuzzy companions, despite their same height. In comparison, Fudge weighs more than 180 pounds, whereas Skye is just 108 pounds.
While her husband was out, Ilonka took Fudge home and didn’t inform him till he returned.
So she went five hours to get Fudge since “he was out of town with our kid” for a couple of days. A hot fudge sundae was on the menu when I called, so I told him about my road trip. When he went home and saw the new horse, he had no clue what I was referring about.” When Ilonka’s first Great Dane, Taz, died in May 2020, she decided to get a new dog.
“We acquired Skye last year when she was a little puppy,” Ilonka said. As the youngest of the litter, Skye was half the size of her brothers and nearly didn’t make it.” Nonetheless, she made it through.”
Her bond with the horses is quite different from Taz’s.” The owner said that Skye is a big fan of all of them, but Fudge is her favorite.
The strange bond between Skye and Fudge has sparked a lot of discussions online, garnering over 2.4 million views on videos featuring the two.
