The 2020 Dirty Dogs Contest finalists were selected by Wahl and Greater Good Charities based on their shelter renovations.

Animal welfare organizations throughout the nation are invited to submit photos of their most remarkable success stories in rehabilitating rescued dogs as part of an annual contest sponsored by industry experts…

As a way of highlighting the hard effort shelters go in to assist animals to find homes, the contest has been set up. The competition attracted hundreds of lovely, adaptable canines this year, but these are the contest’s top pups.

Scruffy’s fresh makeover earned him this year’s top prize. On the side of the road, the dog was filthy, matted, and strewn with rubbish.

The town of Ceres in Virginia is where was able to rescue and re-home Scruffy. Lost Fantasy Rescue has received a $5,000 grant to assist them to groom even more shelter animals after Scruffy won this year’s event.
