Neglecting an animal, regardless of the reason, is always a horrible idea. Even though they may never experience true love, some animals will be spared the pain and suffering they would have otherwise endured.
Old, lonely dogs have no one to call them by when identifying themselves. To the relief of Let’s Adopt International’s rescuers, an anonymous tip led to their involvement, which saved a dog that had been chained up for decades.
For much of her existence, the dog had been tethered to an old chain and surrounded by machinery. Unfortunately, the circumstances did not favor the elderly dog’s well-being…
The dog was examined and groomed by veterinarians at a local clinic after she was rescued. According to a news statement from the rescue organization, her fur was matted and she had several malignant tumors.
Maria was renamed after the removal of all but one of her cancers. Maria’s health indicated that she had just a little time left to live. Her last weeks and days would be spent receiving the greatest possible care.
While many groups would have put a dog to death in her last months, one group paid to keep her alive so she may enjoy her senior years to the maximum possible extent.”
Maria was well taken care of by Linda’s dogs as she awaited a new home.
As a result of Linda’s caring care, Maria was able to understand what it’s like to be loved.
Maria’s stay with Linda and her dogs was a gift. She lasted 18 months longer than anybody expected given her poor health. Having spent the final 18 months of her life fully immersed in the present, she died peacefully in her sleep.
