For the preceding six years of his life, Ducky has been forced to live in a cramped, animal-infested corner of the room. As a result of the owner’s neglect and mistreatment, the dog had developed a dread of people and had become aggressive. As time passes, though, her rescuers begin to teach her how to trust for the first time in her life.
Elli, a volunteer at Sky Sanctuary Rescue, a Phoenix-based animal sanctuary, got an email with a list of at least 30 animals in desperate need of rescue. In the end, her investigation resulted in a frightening conclusion.
When Elli walked into the room, she was met with “a room crammed with twenty cats, animal feces,” and a “huge fluffy, frightened dog,” among other things.
Ducky had been rotting in a filthy corner of the room for a long time, but he has finally found a new place to call home.
She might have perished if it hadn’t been for the efforts of Sky Sanctuary Rescue. Ducky had been “deemed wild and doomed to die,” according to the rescue organization. “Many organizations and residents” had rejected her, according to the statement, since she was “wild and unadoptable,” according to the statement.
We were not going to give up on the dejected canine companion. Immediately after Ducky was cleaned up, she was taken in by a member of the rescue team, who happened to have four other dogs at the time.
Ducky looked to be more at ease with other animals than he was with people. After three weeks of living with other dogs, she started to exhibit signs of her playful side. As she frolicked about with the other dogs, yelping, and barking, she attracted the attention of everyone.
In the course of about one month in her new home, Ducky started to show signals of confidence in her foster mother.
Ducky has made great progress in the three months since she was rescued, and she will continue to do so.
According to Ducky’s rescuers on Instagram, he’s learned to trust new people and to appreciate the little things in life. Some of the most fundamental instructions have even been mastered by this young infant.
