Ted, Emilia Clarke’s canine buddy, is celebrating his second birthday!
On Wednesday, in celebration of her dachshund’s second birthday, the Game of Thrones actress, 35, handed him a homemade cake that she had baked just for him in her kitchen.
“Yes. Ted’s birthday cake served as the inspiration for Clarke’s Instagram post, which read: “I am now THIS person.” It was with the description “Baking ain’t just for humans” that she shared a series of images of Ted enjoying his cake.
A slice of birthday cake is shoved into Ted’s mouth as he sits on a chair at the dining room table, a crown on his head, and his eyes is drawn to the scrumptious-looking cake in the shape of a “2” that has been lit on the top in the first shot.
Ted dives into the goodie with his crown turned backwards in the second shot, as his dog mom looks on lovingly.
As a response, Clarke shouted, “I mean, look at him!,” she wrote in the caption of the photo, which included the hashtags “#teddyturnstwo,” “#onlygettingwhatmylittlemandeswrves,” and “#onlygettingwhatmylittlemandeswrves.”
“Oh my goodness, could he possibly be much cuter???” says the author.
“Thank you for your support,” filmmaker Paul Feig said in the comment section of a previous Christmas post. Also contributing to the conversation was Aisling Bea, an Irish comedian who used a pair of heart-eye emojis to convey her sentiments.
Despite only having known Ted for a short length of time, Clarke has formed a strong attachment to him. The couple formed a family in January of 2020, when their daughter was born. Recently, the actress shared a beautiful snapshot of herself and Ted cuddled up in bed together, which she wrote, “For the first time in my life, I am the large spoon,” along with the statement, “For the first time in my life, I am the big spoon.”
Earlier in the month, Clarke had made a blunders with Ted when she attempted to take a photo with her dog for her Instagram account and failed badly.
In vain, I sought to create the most gorgeous ted photo opportunity possible… With the hashtags “#apparentlymynosetastesgooood” and “#tedofmylifeforlife,” she accompanied the photographs with her thoughts. When she stood next to the images, she said, “Saliva is a sign of love in our relationship.”
If there is food in the picture, Ted, on the other hand, has shown his ability to take a nice photograph.
Earlier this year, Clarke posted an Instagram photo of herself looking down at Ted and his huge puppy-dog eyes from a first-person point of view. “Ted wants you to KNOW that you are loved,” she wrote next to the picture of him.
“Either that, or he’s after your dinner,” she said.
