Duke, a retired military dog, needs assistance in getting to his forever home in the United States in time for the holidays…

Duke, a working military dog, has been serving the United States for many years, and he is finally ready to leave the service.

According to a press statement from Paws of War, Duke recently acquired medical retirement clearance due to his elderly age after his handlers noted that the canine was becoming more sluggish than usual.

In his first year of duty, Duke received advanced training to become a dual-purpose patrol and detection dog for the United States military.

During the previous seven years, Duke has carried out significant searches on cars, buildings, and patrol operations across the Middle East and North Africa.

Having spent the better part of his life defending others, Duke is in need of a little assistance himself. It’s time for the faithful dog to retire and enjoy the remainder of his list of activities.

Unfortunately, none of Duke’s handlers are able to adopt the dog owing to their current military commitments, but the canine continues to get a lot of attention.

When Adrianna, a Navy officer who resides on the same base as Duke, found out about Duke’s retirement, she immediately volunteered to take the dog in as her own.

When she was deployed abroad, she acquired Duke soon after the death of her first retired military canine companion. She is now in need of assistance in bringing Duke to his new home in the United States.

“He loves cuddles and is frequently showered with affection,” Adrianna said in a statement.

“Duke has adjusted so well to retirement life, and I can’t wait to be able to let him spend his retirement years in luxury and safety in the nation he has dedicated his whole life to protecting,” says the president.

Adrianna is scheduled to return to the United States in the near future. She wants Duke to arrive in the United States before the holidays so that they may spend the holidays together in the dog’s new permanent home — but transferring a pet across international borders is challenging.

A charity organization that assists military troops and veterans in caring for their dogs, as well as a company with expertise moving pets abroad, is assisting Adrianna in reuniting her and Duke by coordinating the intricate logistics of their return journey.

In order to assist in covering the costs associated with bringing a dog from the Middle East to the United States, Paws of War is requesting contributions from animal lovers to go toward a travel fund for the retiring canine.

Robert Missouri, the co-founder of Paws of War, stated, “We appreciate all of the hard work that WMD Duke accomplished while serving in our troops, and we are thrilled to be able to assist in bringing him back to the United States.”

It will need the support of the community to fulfill this objective, but we are convinced that people will want to repay this military dog that has sacrificed so much for their country.

They’re military dogs, they serve their time working alongside with their handlers.why is it to difficult to bring them home? Money shouldn’t be a problem. When soldiers retired military pay for everything to bring them home. This is not how we thank them for their service.
