When the first frost arrives, the issue of heating and food for homeless animals becomes more severe, and human assistance may be critical in preserving the lives of these four-legged vagrants in certain instances.
Another issue that occurs during the winter is that dogs fall through the brittle ice of reservoirs and are unable to get out of the frigid water by themselves. We’re going to tell you about a kindhearted individual who rescued a mongrel from a pond in the Volgograd district today.
To be more specific, the dog owes its rescue mostly to two youngsters who saw two canines go through the ice only a few meters from the beach and call for help.
One of the dogs was able to get out on his own, but the second, which was enormous and shaggy, was unable to do anything except whimper and flounder in the freezing water.
Parents saw the crying youngsters and shouted for assistance. One of the ladies recognized a familiar individual who swims in this location year-round and they phoned and requested assistance.
Yuri Mihajlovich came in record time, stripped down to his underwear, and slid through the shaky ice to reach the tired creature.
Since luck would have it, this tiny pond is not too deep for a human to wade across, as the ice shattered just in the midst of the lifeguard’s route. Once Yuri Mikhailovich was in the frigid water, he had to break through the crust in order to reach the dog. He was able to rescue the unfortunate animal.
The dog, which had been scooped up by the guy, had barely made it out onto a large chunk of ice before becoming fatigued and afraid and freezing in place. It required much effort on the part of the Savior to get it to move.
However, the animal’s astonishment was short-lived, and despite the best efforts of those around it to warm it up and bring it back to its senses, it shook itself violently and bolted away from the untrustworthy ice.
