As many individuals across the world are seeking methods to keep themselves occupied during this period of self-isolation, countless are taking up new hobbies or developing new skill sets to pass the time.
This desire obviously isn’t simply restricted to individuals in quarantine, as the Norwegian beach volleyball team showed out on Instagram Saturday.
During a two-on-two volleyball battle, a dog called Kiara appeared in a video broadcast on the team’s Facebook page and joined in the fun as one of the players’ teammates.
This isn’t just a movie of a dog joyfully rushing about and chasing a ball on instinct, this canine can genuinely play the game!
That’s definitely a better job than most people would perform in their first game, however Kiara may have lost her side a point at the conclusion of the game when she got a little too fancy. Surely, with enough work, she will be able to overcome these habits.
As could be expected, this isn’t Kiara’s first time participating in the sport. The dog is seen in a prior video practicing with two players so that she may learn when she is expected to run for the ball and when she is required to wait for her partner to receive the ball.
As of now, there is no word on whether the International Olympic Committee will relax the rules for species that can compete when the 2020 Summer Games are held in the summer of 2021, with beach volleyball on the schedule and Norway aiming for its first medal in the men’s and women’s divisions in the men’s and women’s competitions.
