Alex Cearns is a famous animal photographer. While many people are already aware of her art, this most recent series is simply breathtaking. Perfectly Imperfect: Dog Portraits of Resilience is a work of art in photography.

Alex has taken the time to photograph crippled dogs and cats in their natural habitats, bringing attention to their plight.

Vegemite was bitten by a dog and lost an eye as a result. He’s still as nice as ever.

Mya is blind after losing both of her eyes to glaucoma, but her other senses are sharp.

Because of his malformed legs, Jakk was thrown in a dumpster. Fortunately, his heartfelt cries were heard before it was too late.

Bali Pip has mange, which has caused him to go bald. But she’s still living life to the fullest.

Jaffa is missing a limb and had to wait eight years for a forever home. She has finally found a loving family.
