Shey, a 14-year-old tiny Poodle, was saddened when his “loving” family abandoned him to a shelter.
The older dog had grown deaf and blind due to his advanced age, and his dental problems were a cause of concern.
Nobody really wanted to help such sick and elderly dog, and the “undesirable” canine resigned himself to spending the rest of his days in the lonely shelter.
When Tristan, the young boy, stepped into the shelter to adopt a lap dog, the workers assumed he’d choose a young and adorable puppy.
But no one could say anything when the adorable child chose Shey as his new pal!
Staff informed Tristan that Shey was the shelter’s oldest dog, with various medical difficulties, and that his upkeep and care would be more challenging than that of younger pets.
But that didn’t frighten the kid. Instead, he started keeping track of Shey’s immunizations and medications to ensure he was a well-informed and dedicated owner to him! What a sweetie!
Shey has made himself at home in Tristan’s snug room, and he is frequently seen cuddling with his tiny human.
Tristan’s considerate deed, however, did not stop with just one dog. As he became more conscious of the suffering of shelter dogs, he encouraged his family to contribute to their cause.
His family, who owns a clothing store, has started a program dubbed “Tristan Tuesdays,” in which a percentage of all Tuesday sales are contributed to the shelter.
It’s no wonder that the family’s sales increase every Tuesday, as more and more individuals want to help save shelter dogs. Tristan is certainly maturing into a wonderful human being!
