A “Dog Train” Built by a 80 Year Old For Puppies??? Check this out!

Eugene Bostick and his family dwell on a 3-acre plot of land in East Fort Worth, Texas.

His house is on a dead-end street with a horse barn, and according to Bostick, people have abandoned dogs on their property and left strays to starve or die ever since they moved in.

They took in numerous pets and several stray dogs, and following his retirement, Bostick and his family spent their time caring for the creatures on their property.

Every day, they feed the animals, care for them, and transport them to veterinarians. Bostick also created a dog train to take his pets on travels, and if that isn’t the nicest retirement job in the world, I don’t know what is.

Even in his 80s, Bostick is a bright and energetic man, but with so many dogs to care for, he needed some form of vehicle to transport them on outings. He got the idea for the train after observing a man driving a tractor with carts full of pebbles attached to it.

He was inspired by the tractor to utilize the same concept for the dog train, so he cut plastic barrels, put wheels below, and linked them together. It wasn’t difficult for him to realize his vision because he is a good welder.

A typical ride lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes and travels along with the Sycamore Golf Course, which is located close behind the Bostick property.

Needless to say, every time the train passes by, golfers stop to photograph the cheerful group on the train. Eugene Bostick, 80, of Fort Worth, Texas, has the dream job of all retirees: he drives a dog train.

Bostick’s dog train has gotten some notice, both locally and online. He had always wanted to take his dog pals on short vacations, so he developed the dog train.

Bostick is a competent welder, and constructing the dog train was a simple task for him. The travel takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the dogs are satisfied just looking around.

After retirement, Bostick and his family have dedicated their lives to caring for abandoned dogs on their 3-acre property. They have several dogs and other animals under their care. Bostick never intended to become a dog train driver, but he claims it is a rewarding job that keeps him going.
