This loyal dog waits for his owner next to the hospital bed yet does not know that…

Dogs are among the most devoted animals on the planet, and this unconditional love and devotion are reflected in their behavior.

A moving photo of a dog waiting for his owner next to an empty hospital bed demonstrated this once more. Somebody captured the terrible moment in a photo, which instantly went viral on social media.

This is Moose, a three-year-old Labrador mix who was about to be euthanized because the shelter was overloaded and no one wanted to adopt him. Fortunately, Moose was adopted from Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph, New Jersey, and given a new home.

The sad puppy had finally found a home, but his father died of cancer a year after. Sadly, Moose had no idea that his father had died, and all he knew was that he needed to be patient and wait.

Despite the fact that his beloved human will never return, he remains in the hope that a miracle will occur.

Eleventh Hour Rescue volunteers were heartbroken, and they promptly accepted Moose into their care. Everyone at the shelter adored Moose and worked tirelessly to ensure that he was adopted as quickly as possible.

“When the owner dies, Eleventh Hour’s policy is that we take the dogs back regardless,” Linda Barish, an Eleventh Hour Rescue executive committee member, explained. “We never believed this would happen in a million years.”

Moose’s story and photo were posted by NorthStar Pet Rescue and Eleventh Hour Rescue in the hopes of finding him a local foster or adopter. The snapshot has gone viral on the Internet, garnering thousands of reactions.

“Moose stayed patiently next to his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to return, unaware that “Dad” had died away,” Eleventh Hour Rescue wrote on Facebook.

They have received numerous applications to become Moose’s future parents after the photo went popular on the Internet. Only three days later, Eleventh Hour Rescue announced that Moose had been adopted by his new forever family.

Moose has found his forever home because of the power of social media.

Moose’s heartwarming photo illustrates that canines have feelings and can be more empathetic than humans.
