This dog was found by the rescuers after swimming 135 miles away from shore…

This is a touching story about how oil rig employees rescued a trapped dog after discovering him in the middle of the sea almost 130 miles from Thailand’s coastline.

A few days earlier, workers on an oil rig were taken aback when they noticed a poor dog swimming adjacent to their drilling station. Vitisak Payalaw, one of the employees, swiftly grabbed his camera and documented what he observed.

Other workers brainstormed methods to save him and eventually decided to put a rope around him and pull him in.

‘We wouldn’t have spotted him if the waves had been higher.’ We finally decided to tie a rope around his neck and drag him to our spot. “We had to race against the clock because wind waves could carry him away,” Payalaw explained.

Even though it appeared that everything was lost for this sad puppy, he was given a second chance at life. As said by Payalaw, the dog was completely fatigued while clinging to the pole.

He was 130 miles from the shore, making survival extremely impossible, but he managed to do so.

People believe the dog fell into the sea from a fishing trawler or leaped off a vessel where he was abused. The puppy stayed on the drilling platform for 2 days, receiving food and water from the crew before returning to land.

He even got a new name, “Boonrod,” which means “offering a spiritual donation for good luck in the future” in Thai.

After landing, he was taken to a veterinarian in Songkhla, southern Thailand, where tests would be performed to determine whether or not his health is in good condition. Fortunately, despite being discovered in the sea, he was in surprisingly good health.

If no one comes forward to claim him, one of the oil rig workers says he’d like to adopt him. “I’d like to get him as a pet,” Vitisak told ViralPress. “I’m looking forward to sharing many wonderful years with him.”

This event has been dubbed a miracle by many, and it has swiftly gone viral. Despite several offers of assistance, Vitisak has stated that he will not accept any donations.
