This smart dog strolled into the Odessa Police Department in Texas and reported his problem like the good guy that he is.
In the early hours of February 11, police officers were surprised by an unexpected guest. The well-mannered youngster entered the police station and jumped up onto the counter. He carefully placed his paws on the front desk to inform them of his problem – he was “lost” from his family.
Sergeant Rusty Martin was one of the cops who greeted him. He stated that the dog appeared unconcerned about his lost status. “We’re guessing he intended to apply for a K-9 post after ruling out a Lassie-type situation,” remarked a friend on Facebook.
According to the cops, the dog received “a lot of love and attention.” “Everyone was ecstatic to have him in the building,” Martin added. “We had a tennis ball and tossed it around the foyer for a while.” “He was adored by everyone.”
Despite the fact that I enjoyed Chico, it was time to return him to his rightful owners. It wasn’t simple, though, because his ID tag had fallen off his collar. As a result, animal control was called in to look for a microchip. Chico had gotten out of the police station unobserved before they arrived.
Fortunately, he returned immediately to his owner, who reported that he had returned and was safe and sound at home after his brief adventure.
Martin, who had posted about the event on Facebook, stated, “He fled out just as quickly as he walked in.” “The owner responded the following day to tell that it was his dog and that he had returned home.” He’s roughly a mile away from the station.”
