A pregnant dog in the fire station… New babies find a home…

When a pregnant stray dog in Florida was ready to give birth, she seemed to know that the Apopka Fire Department would be happy to help!

The dog, now known as Lady, walked up to the station and was greeted warmly by the staff.

Lt. Renee Beasley told Fox 6 that “I stepped outside and saw her, and she was pregnant.” “She was quite underweight, despite the fact that she was pregnant with her belly.” She also had nine to twelve nails in her stomach from fending for herself.”

When the time arrived, the crew was ecstatic to help Lady deliver her eight puppies. Unfortunately, one of them perished, but the remaining seven survived, which was a miracle given their sick mother’s condition.

When the joyful news was posted on social media, members of the Apopka community stepped up to help cover vet bills, supplies, and finding forever homes for the gorgeous puppies!

“Our community has a fantastic heart, and everyone has gone out to help her out,” Beasley said in the report.

Lady, on the other hand, has already made a home for herself among her heroes.

“Lady is going to end up living with us,” the narrator predicts. “We’ve developed a deep bond with her,” Beasley said.

The Apopka Fire Department now has its own official “firedog”!
