After having heard her screams for help, a courageous blind dog saves a drowning lady…

We’ve all heard that dogs have been regarded as man’s closest and finest companions for ages.

Because there are so many great stories of dogs saving people’s lives, it’s easy to find a few that demonstrate their bravery and loyalty.

This is an incredible example of how a rescue dog can make a difference in saving a life. What makes this story even more unbelievable is that the dog is completely blind! Meet Norman, a brave yellow Labrador Retriever who saved the life of Lisa Nibbley from drowning in the deep seas.

Norman’s previous owners abandoned him, and he was then brought to an animal sanctuary. Fortunately, Annette and Steve McDonalds rescued him from the shelter the day before he was to be euthanized.

Soon after bringing Norman home, the couple noticed something was awry with his vision. They took him to the vet and discovered he had Retinal Atrophy, a genetic illness with no cure that would result in blindness.

Norman turned blind after a few years, but that didn’t stop him from succeeding. He was adapting well to his condition and could still run and play like any other dog his age.

Then, one day, while Norman was walking on the beach with his owner Annette, they saw the small girl Lisa Nibbley in the ocean, begging for assistance. This gallant dog knew exactly what he had to do at that moment.

Norman may be blind, but that won’t stop him from saving a life! He is a true hero!
