It was raining, and the road was waterlogged. The gloomy skies added to the melancholy. The dog, a ragged gray dog, was hiding under some vegetation…
She has no idea where she is and seems to be waiting for her owner to return. But her family wasn’t coming for her. She was already homeless; she didn’t realize it. She has no home, food, or family.
But things won’t stay as miserable. Because while she was waiting for help, a rescue squad saw her on the roadside. She initially growled at the rescuers.
She has no idea who or what they want. She knows she must wait for her family and cannot be removed from this spot.
But the rescuers remained their distance. They left her alone but never left the dog. The rescuers started feeding her.
They know no one will return for her, so they must assure her that they mean no harm. They need her trust to move her somewhere safer.
Luckily, the dog approached and ate the snacks they offered. She believed they just wanted the best for her, so she consented to join them. They carried her into the vehicle.
They returned to the shelter, where an orphaned and abandoned dog group met them. They were hoping and crawling on top of each other to see the dog.
She was swiftly placed in one of the empty cages and checked for any wounds, injuries, or other urgent needs. A month later, she was abandoned again.
A loving family adopted her. Lady (the pup’s new name), was shown running around a huge yard with another dog in the video they sent to the rescue shelter.
