Since he was a baby, Marolyn Driver’s parents’ farm in New Zealand has been home to the intelligent sheepdog Louie.
He was a lively and curious puppy full of energy when he was a few weeks old, and he enjoyed going around their property and investigating their neighbors.
But as he grew older, his daily schedule changed, and he began to spend out about their house…
That’s why his parents became concerned when Louie didn’t show up for work for several hours one day.
When Marolyn went to see her parents that day, she discovered them in a state of intense concern.
But thankfully, the dog returned home after a few hours with an odd letter around his neck. Louie appeared weary and filthy.
Someone was threatening to hurt him, according to his family. They were relieved, though, after reading the handwritten remark.
The note was written by Rob, who described Louis as his hero as he brought him to his dog Maddy, who was trapped beneath a branch pile.
Rob, the family’s next-door farmer, had a dog named Maddy. They soon discovered what had happened to them…
Maddy was also missing that day. Her owner, Rob, began looking for her everywhere she could be.
However, the search yielded no results. On his way home, he ran into Louie, who insisted Rob follow him.
Rob, trusting Louie’s senses, followed him and, to his surprise, discovered his lost dog entangled in the bushes. Louie began to dig around, assisting Rob in locating his companion.
Maddy was saved thanks to this brave dog. The two tired dogs dashed to a nearby pond, where they leaped into the water and began to drink it.
Louie was so exhausted that day that he refused to eat.
The family was concerned about his condition. The next day, when Louie noticed his companion in a basket on the back of his owner’s bicycle, he miraculously recovered and began playing with his friend Maddy.
