This puppy was too caring and friendly for the police dog training program… You won’t believe where he ends up…

The dog has shown exceptional training and learning ability. He did, however, have a “flaw.”

Gavel was a wonderful puppy.

He finished a six-week Queensland State Police training course (Australia).

The shepherd puppy was one of the greatest dogs taught for certain tasks.

He was sacked, though, not long after he was employed.

Gavel, it seems, had one minor weakness that hampered his work: the dog adored people.

His warmth and generosity proved to be an impediment to his “job” as a service dog.

“Gavel has not displayed the skills required to live on the front lines,” police in Australia told the BBC.

They got used to him in the governor’s mansion, where he was trained.

The dog was adored not only by the workers but also by the governor himself, due to his endearing personality.

As a result, Gavel was transferred to another post that was approved particularly for the puppy’s benefit.

He is presently the Vice-Regal Dog.

The now-adult dog greets guests at the Queensland Governor’s house and attends sessions with the Governor.

Gavel, by the way, has up to four ceremonial “uniforms” for various occasions…
