A UPS logistics firm driver recently delivered an extra special delivery, making a family in the United States state of Tennessee delighted.
He assisted in the recovery of Pete, a lost Jack Russell Terrier.
During Darrell Slack’s busy workweek, while delivering products following Cyber Monday, Paula Odom from Turtletown informed him that her dog Pete had gone missing.
Perry, her husband, attempted but failed to locate the dog.
The woman was concerned that her pet would run away and become lost in the Cherokee National Forest, which was close to her home.
“In this forest, there are coyotes and bears.” I was concerned that Pete might be unable to respond in an emergency. And the chances of us seeing him again are small,” Paula Odom added.
Darrell took the woman’s issue seriously and simply stated, “We’ll find him.”
The man appeared to be certain that everything would be well with the dog, and he was correct.
He met Pete in a different location.
He said Pete’s name and offered him a reward. So the dog approached him and allowed him to put him in the car.
The messenger then returned to Paula’s residence to deliver his find.
“I almost passed out when I saw Pete in his arms.” “I was overjoyed,” the dog’s owner said.
Darrell claimed he was simply at the right place at the right time and did nothing remarkable.
He refers to Paula’s neighborhood as “a home away from home.” He adores the people that live there and is always willing to assist them – just as they assist him.
