A loving Labrador adopts and raises abandoned kittens as her own…

Jelly’s Place, an animal sanctuary in San Pablo, California, recently rescued three orphaned kittens who had been abandoned on the street by their mother.

Because the babies were so young, they required a foster mother to care for them until they were ready to food forever home.

When Kendal Benken read a Facebook post about three kittens, she jumped at the chance to take them in. Benken had previous experience fostering dogs and kittens, therefore the rescue allowed her to be the kittens’ foster mother.

“The COVID-19 pandemic hit, and I was hiding at home,” Benken explained to Th Dd. “I was bored and seeking for anything to do.” Who doesn’t adore adorable kittens? I regarded it as a fantastic opportunity.”

Because the small kittens had never tasted mother’s love, Benken sought to care for them as if they were her own. However, Benken stated that she was not the only woman who cared for and protected the kittens.

Truvy, her 105-pound Lab mix, fell in love with the babies and was eager to take over certain motherly duties.

“It’s really funny, when I brought them in, he was like, ‘Let me at them,'” Benken explained. “Sh tооk to them right now. They’re her children.”

The huge dog aids in their development and never lets the kittens out of her sight. She sits next to them, observes their every action, and continuously cleans them.

“When I was trying to get the feedings done, I’d have to kick her out of the room because she was trying to manage me,” Benken explained. “When I let her back in, she’d run over and check them, clean them, and melt them.” She has taken complete ownership of them. She takes his responsibilities very seriously.”

“Sh will protect them by standing in front of them and pushing the other dogs out of the way.” If another dog gets their nose in there while she’s washing the kittens, she’ll an at them. “She’ll give them a firm warning that they’re hers,” Benken said.

Benken adopted Truvy from a Texas shelter when she was 5 weeks old. “She’s always been gentle with the foster children I’ve brought in.” “She’s extraordinarily patient,” Benken said.

“I find it remarkable that she has such a strong motherly instinct despite the fact that she has never had puppies and has remained at 6 months old.” She has it for whatever reason. “I believe it’s delicious.”

We are delighted to learn that the three kittens, Ed, Prissy, and Louie, will be available for adoption very soon. “Truvy will be sad when they leave, but I’m hoping to replace them with a fresh litter we can foster,” Benken explained.

“It’s a win-win situation: Truvy gets to be a mama, and the kittens get to meet dogs.” It makes them more appealing. You’re not scared of her. She is always polite and gentle.”
