Rommel Quemenales, an 11-year-old boy, has spent his entire life on the streets. His father abandoned him at a young age, and his mother showed little care in her many children.
As a result, Rommel began to spend his time in unconventional ways, such as playing and begging for money on the streets. His street existence wasn’t easy, but he had a buddy in the form of a homeless puppy, with whom he became great friends and began to live.
Rommel named his dog Badji after his brother Adji, who went missing many years ago. Rommel began to treat his companion as if he were his brother, accompanying him everywhere. He prioritizes the needs of his friends over his own.
Rommel and his four-legged pal live in Quezon City, Philippines. Front Row Publications published Rommel and his friend’s documentary. The documentary depicts Rommel and his friend Badji surviving under harsher living conditions.
Rommel stated that his father abandoned them while he was a child. Because his mother does not care about him, he spends the majority of his time on the street. He spends the majority of his time with his pal Badji.
Adji Rommel, Rommel’s elder brother, died while he was younger. His dog, Badji, though, reminds him of his brother. ” (Badji is) my friend. “I accept him as my in-law,” Rommel replied. “I’ll carry him like I did my in-law.”
Rommel is able to feed his pals and himself with the money he earns from begging on the streets. However, he later began to accumulate money for his schooling. Fortunately, people stepped forward to assist Rommel with his studies.
He then began attending classes and fled Badji with his mother. He frequently visits Badji and cooks for his mother and his friend Badji. Despite the fact that his life has not been simple, he wishes to complete his studies so that he can assist his siblings.
Rommel declares that he is not afraid of anything because he is accompanied by Badji.
