In Suwaki, Poland, an abandoned fatigued dog lay down on newly dumped tar, hoping for a place to keep warm.
Unfortunately, the dog is unaware that he is stuck, but when he realizes it, he begins barking for rescue. Workers nearby heard the dog’s loud barks as he pleaded for help with all his might.
When they arrived at the site and discovered the dog, they immediately contacted Joanna Godlewska, an animal rescuer from the Niczyje Animal Foundation. The good news is that the brave animal was able to tear his snout out of the tar, allowing him to bark and breathe.
The dog’s fur, which had become entangled in tar, was gradually cut off by animal rescuers with the assistance of police departments and local fire departments. They were eventually able to extract the dog’s body from the tar.
The dog was subsequently taken to a veterinarian for an examination and fatigue treatment. More than 100 ticks were removed from his body.
After repeated washing to remove the leftover tar on his fur and paws, the dog was given a cozy bed and a warm dinner. Fortunately, the dog began to feel better, and he was also treated for minor wounds on his head.
Farcik, the cute dog, is learning to walk gently and will remain with his rescuers until he is entirely cured. When he is fully recovered, he will be offered for adoption. We are hopeful that he will regain his full health and find a loving home soon.
