Toad, a German Shorthaired Pointer, was walking near his Kuna, Idaho home when he discovered a rattlesnake.
The rattlesnake grabbed him and smelled the unfortunate dog 5 times.
“As I approached him, I saw a snake cartwheeling in the air, so I put him between the snake and me, and when I went to snare him, huge mistake, there were numerous snakes,” his owner, Fritz Brownell, told KTVB.
Toad’s owners rushed him to the warhorse, but the venom had already taken effect, and he started bleeding from his lips and epoxies.
The stagehands quickly inspected him and discovered that he had been bitten on both sides of his face and multiple times on his left frontal leg. He swelled excessively, but the tower administered an antidote.
His possessors were concerned that he would not survive, but he did.
As Toad continues to recover, his owners are now warning other pet owners to be wary of rattlesnakes in their environs.
According to Idaho Fish and Game, the fashionable thing to do right now is to keep your children on a leash while out strolling in the foothills or desert.
