Dogs provide unrivaled affection and companionship. They can’t be beaten as loyal guardians, big or tiny. One has to wonder what is going through their heads when they assume the role of family protector.
For example, Gordon, a wonderfully large mastiff with an equally colossal heart, sits and watches over his two daughters as they board the school bus every day. Every day, rain or shine, he is there, supervising without fail.
He’s relieved when the bus doors close and his precious kids are secure. Then he cheerfully lopes back to his residence. Once inside, we presume he patiently awaits their return so he can greet them.
We can envision him being serious about his career. He probably spends his days snoozing or eating, with his ears pricked for the school bus that will bring the two youngest members of his family home to him.
As far as we know, Humor and Animals originally uploaded this video of him seeing the girls off to school on Twitter. Becky Lynn, Gordon’s fur mom, also shared a cute photo of the furry behemoth sitting in the snow, towering over the girls as they wait for the bus. Despite the obvious cold, the scene is lovely.
These two girls clearly have a unique affinity with their dog that cannot be matched. Their bond serves as a reminder of how unique all canines are.
