When Kali, a Golden Retriever/Collie mix, was reunited with her family after surviving for 10 days in the wilderness, she couldn’t stop licking her human father, David Kareken.
The beloved dog was washed away by rapids when her family was camping in a Canadian Provincial Park.
When the 7-year-old dog attempted to jump across to a nearby rock landing at Rebecca Falls, she was strolling near the water. Despite the fact that Kali was on a leash, the jump led the leash to fall from David’s son’s grasp.
“I knew what occurred the moment I saw his face.” “I was terrified,” David remarked. The family searched for hours before giving up hope, fearing Kali had drowned in the river. However, the family received a phone call two weeks later.
Park rangers claimed to have spotted a dog that matched Kali’s description! She’d turned up at a campground 10 days after going missing.
David traveled for 20 hours straight to see Kali, who arrived by floatplane to see her family. The video below shows their joyful reunion. Kali can’t contain her joy and lavishes David with kisses and hugs, while David can’t stop cuddling his “princess.”
