Trip had nine visits to the dog shop. With only three legs (due to an unknown injury), rotting teeth, and long nails, the tiny Chihuahua had no idea what life was like outside of a pen.
Trip was ultimately saved from his sad life in September by National Mill Dog Rescue. They took him to their safe haven, and as soon as he stepped out of the car, his tail began to wobble, and he couldn’t stop. He finally earned a valuable bachelor’s degree in health care and went on to work as a tax collector.
He enjoyed the attention and enjoyed going outside to explore. He didn’t allow his age or the fact that he had three legs to slow him down.
National Mill Dog Rescue took him to a number of events and featured him in a number of films.
However, no one stepped forward. Until… a month later, it was finally Trip the Intrepid’s turn. Trip’s tail started wagging again when his new family came to pick him up soon before Halloween after witnessing so many other tykes at the sanctum become married.
He’s now “one of the three comrades” in his new home, and he’s “overjoyed.”
