These touching photographs capture the moment a grateful dog kissed the firefighter who rescued him.
A curious dog, a husky-cross breed, was caught on a roof, according to a number of complaints to the Wells Maine police department from concerned residents.
One of the firefighters climbed to the roof and was greeted by the dog. As the firefighters assisted in getting the puzzled canine securely back inside, the dog gave some kisses as a thank you.
‘Many thanks to Captain Nawfel! It’s love at first sight! Is there anything more beautiful than a grateful animal?’ reads the caption attached to the photo by the police department.
