The emotion of abandonment is extremely traumatic for any pet. Suddenly, all nice sentiments, love, care, and attention leave, and an unknown universe surrounds them.
Stormy, a sweet Pitbull, couldn’t grasp why he had ended up at a high-kill shelter after two years of love and care from his owners.
When the humans of Stormy found they were expecting their fifth child, they decided to remove someone to make room.
That one was, regrettably, Freshy, as he was affectionately known by his family.
Stormy, as renamed by the shelter employees, waited every day for his family to return him to the wonderful home, where he enjoyed his joyous and happy life with four of his humans’ children.
But all in vain. He was in a lot of pain, and no one would want to adopt such a sad, fearful dog.
The dog’s eyes were filled with fear and terror, and his heart was broken.
Guerrini, a lovely woman, observed his profile one day and raced to the crowded Brooklyn shelter to take him.
Stormy’s name was on the euthanasia list since the shelter was so overcrowded that they couldn’t afford to care for him.
His life should have been disrupted at 5 o’clock, but she wasn’t formally allowed to take the unfortunate puppy until 4:58.
She did, in fact, save his life.
Stormy was saved and brought to Guerrini and her son’s home, where he would live until he was adopted.
Stormy was so overjoyed that he began to kiss and love the kind mother and her baby boy as if he understood what had happened.
This adorable dog captivated the entire family. He was a fun, joyous, and loving creature who, perhaps, will find a new loving forever family soon or later.
