The delivery driver rescues the drowning dog… See the video attached!

Despite the fact that he is not wearing a cape, but rather a drab uniform, this kind-hearted man is hailed as a hero when his quick-thinking actions save the life of a helpless puppy. Ryan Arens, a UPS driver, was having a typical day at the office. He was delivering parcels in Bozeman, Montana when he noticed a peculiar noise emanating from an icy pond he was passing by.

The deliveryman proceeded to investigate since he suspected someone was in need of assistance. “It was like a cry for rescue,” the man explained to The Dodo. “However, I couldn’t see what was going on.” “I stepped out of my truck…and then I noticed a dog in the pond.”

The temperatures were well below zero degrees, and the terrified dog appeared to be trapped, with no way of getting out on his own. That’s when Ryan understood he needed to take action. “ Ryan described his heartbeat as hammering. “I was afraid and nervous because I knew I was about to do something dumb.” Knowing how sharp ice can be, I stripped down to my boxer underwear, removed my uniform, helmet, and everything else, but left my socks on. Then I slid the boat out onto the ice, distributing my weight with it.”

The courageous driver then boarded a boat and proceeded to the fatigued dog. At the same time, Ryan had to be exceedingly cautious so that the ice did not crack beneath him. “My greatest worry was going through the ice and being unable to escape.” But that is exactly what occurred.

“I dropped down, and at that point, I just swam out to the dog and grabbed her collar — thank God she was wearing a collar — and swam back to the ice,” Ryan recounts.

Meanwhile, other neighbors gathered to witness the spectacular sight. Ryan was able to get the poor animal into the boat and then headed back to land. The witnesses assist them here. “We took the dog inside the older guy’s house and showered together to warm up,” he explained.

“Animals are my downfall. “It was the pinnacle of my 14-year UPS career,” the hero remarked. But the most touching moment occurred the next day when Ryan was forced to deliver a parcel to the dog’s owner he had saved the day before.

“She was in his car when she saw me going down the driveway and she just went berserk,” Ryan explained. “‘Thank you very much, I never really got a chance to thank you,’ the man added. ‘Would you like to meet Sadie?’ he asked. ‘I’d love to meet Sadie,’ I said. […] and when he let her out, she came running to me. She had to have recalled who I was. It certainly made me feel good.”
