Justin Lunsford and his girlfriend, Carol Balmes, were about to plan a wedding. Justin, much like most guys, wanted his closest friend to be the best man in his marriage. He didn’t even have to think twice about who would play that role; he picked his service dog, Gabe.
That is when Justin met Gabe, the 2-year-old service dog. They quickly became buddies.
Justin stated, “He assists me with one thing after another.” If I fall, he’ll come up to me and I may use him to push off to get back up.
Justin had been seeing Carol for a long time before proposing in 2014. On Veterans Day, he decided to ask her to marry him, and Gabe even assisted with the proposal.
Justin and Gabe collaborate to socialize the pups before they move on to their assignments and future homes.
We’re delighted he was able to be a part of such a significant day in Justin’s life…
