A nice lady offers an urgent ride out when a shelter dog goes into labor…

Jennifer Taylor, an animal lover and rescue worker, visits a local shelter in Edinburg, Texas, virtually every day. She does everything she can to comfort the dogs there. She even found permanent homes for several of them. For others, she looks for the greatest foster homes where they can live.

Jennifer was recently worried about Debbie, a pregnant Husky at the shelter. After a few phone calls, Texas Sled Dog Rescue consented to take in the soon-to-be mother dog. However, no one at the shelter knew when Debbie would give birth. When Jennifer went there to take her to Sled Rescue, she couldn’t believe it when one of the shelter workers said, “She’s delivering her pups now!”

Jennifer’s initial instinct was to locate a better place for Debbie to deliver her babies on this planet, as a shelter isn’t by far the best place to do so. As a result, she drove the future mother in her car.

Taylor told The Dodo, “We knew she [Debbie] was pregnant, but we didn’t think she was nearly ready to go.” “My immediate reaction was, ‘Oh no, not now!'” Puppies should not be born at a shelter. This isn’t good timing, mom; you’re meant to keep things bottled up until you go to your foster home.”

It didn’t take long for two little ones to enter this world, directly on the back of Jeniffer’s automobile. Her husband’s car, to be exact! Nonetheless, Jennifer focused on the amusing aspect of the scenario. So she grabbed a photo of Debbie with her first two children and posted it on Facebook, along with the caption:

“In the rear of my automobile, a husky is giving birth.” Please do not inform my hubby!”

Soon after, Jennifer decided to take Debbie and her newborn pups to her house, so she tried to keep an eye on and monitor what was going on back in her car while she was driving back home. The Husky mom had given birth to eight absolutely healthy puppies by the time she arrived home — six females and two boys.

“I drove as fast as I could while juggling driving and attempting to keep an eye on her,” the woman explained. “Debbie is a wonderful mother dog to her puppies.” Debbie and her babies arrived at their foster family after spending a few days at Jennifer’s house. What transpired on the back of the woman’s automobile was never revealed to her husband!
