After 3 difficult years, an aging dog who was lost in 2017 has been reunited with her beloved family…

Pets have traditionally been considered family members.

Unfortunately, their incapacity to communicate and human forgetfulness can occasionally result in dreadful situations.

It’s great that there are volunteer organizations dedicated to animal welfare!

Maddy has been with her folks for over a decade.

The puppy was delighted…

But, the family had to relocate from a Houston area to a neighboring one in 2017, and the animal was lost soon before they left.

Hurricane Harvey buried the last possibility of locating a four-legged companion, causing substantial damage to the local infrastructure.

They couldn’t update Maddy’s microchip, which contained fundamental data. The Lost Dogs of Texas Facebook page was the last hope.

When one of the volunteers identified the fugitive in early 2021, the data from the chip proved useless, but their comparison with the information on the site yielded results.

The family was found in less than a day owing to a particular program!

They never forgot Maddie, didn’t replace her with other dogs, and kept looking.

And when the fluffy was returned, they encircled her with love and care.

The elderly dog has come home…

And, as if there hadn’t been four years apart: public attention, hugs, and love.

No one likes to lose a loved one, yet it is through this experience that you learn the value of relationships.
