In this sweet video, a kid gets out of bed to sleep near his dog…

Paige Knudtson was well aware that puppies and little children make excellent companions. When she discovered she was pregnant, she went to a local rescue center and adopted a 2-year-old boxer.

Brutus, as she had named the family’s 4-legged member, turned out to be little more than a gentle giant. And it was only the beginning, for it wasn’t until Finn was born that Paige truly understood what a connection between a mini-human and a canine entails!

Brutus and Finn have been inseparable since the day they met. Whether the child is eating or napping, his furry sibling is constantly there. “Brutus frequently curls up wherever Finn is sitting in our house and follows him from room to room,” the mother told The Dodo. “If Finn is sick, Brutus recognizes it and simply stays at Finn’s side or rests his head on Finn’s chest.”

Even if their extraordinary bond is heartbreaking in every way, Finn and Brutus show that there is potential for more. As the young child got older, his parents determined that it was time for him to sleep in his own bed.

But it means a single bed, which means Brutus would have to sleep on the floor to be close to his best friend. Paige, on the other hand, recently captured one of the cutest moments you’ll ever see on tape.

While there isn’t enough room for both the now 4-year-old dog and the 23-month-old boy, they find a way to share the same sleeping space. Finn can be seen sneaking out of his crib, getting his tiny blanket, and making himself at home next to his beloved dog in an absolutely adorable video.

“Every night, Finn sleeps with Brutus,” Paige explained. “They always sleep together, whether it’s in the dog bed, Finn’s bed, or on the floor.”
