The family of US Army Sgt. Jacob Fisher in Los Angeles had an interesting encounter with a puppy he rescued while serving in Afghanistan.
After Fisher came home, the Marine was able to negotiate with the leadership, and his 4-legged comrade was flown to the United States by military aircraft.
Sergeant Fisher was stationed at the American military facility.
He’d just returned from a short break at work when his colleagues informed him that someone had been caught in a trap.
Traps were placed around the perimeter of the base to keep wild animals at bay.
Jacob went to see who had fallen into the trap and discovered a little dog!
The sergeant rescued him from the trap and cared for him.
Jax was the name given to the puppy. He was exhausted, hungry, and shivering from the cold.
Fisher recognized he had grown attached to Jax as he grew stronger.
And the dog refused to let go of the man.
The sergeant was able to leave the dog at the base thanks to the directive.
Jax was a resident of Fisher’s room. The Marine admitted that the animal produced a cozy atmosphere.
However, the sergeant’s time at the base has come to an end.
He took a flight from Afghanistan to the United States, where his wife Michelle and son Kayden awaited him.
Fisher was unable to take the mature Jax with him right away.
But he didn’t give up hope that his four-legged pal was still in Los Angeles. And then it happened!
Of course, Jax was worried as he boarded the plane, but what excitement he felt when he saw Jacob!
“Now we’re a true family!” Dad, Mom, the dog, and I!” Kayden stated to journalists.
