Karissa Lerch of Durham, North Carolina, had always desired a dog. But she was also aware that sharing her house with a furry buddy entailed a number of obligations.
Aside from that, she couldn’t afford to raise a puppy during her college years. So she went to Toys-R-Us and bought a toy wolf instead!
After a few years, her goal was realized when she got an Alaskan Malamute puppy. And the woman decided it would be lovely to give Luca – as she had christened her furry ball friend – her old plush companion. However, Karissa had no idea that the pup had discovered his best companion in that toy.
“I handed down the plush animal to her, and she has kept it by her side at all times since,” the mother posted on Reddit. “It’s her child. She carries it everywhere she goes and always has it with her when she sleeps.
Luca is quite gentle with it.” The toy, which was previously named Luca, was renamed Mr. Wolf since the family would have been a little complicated with two Luca.
However, the family finds this special attachment between the lovely pup and her closest friend odd, given that Luca destroyed all of her stuffed animals.
Mr. Wolf, it goes without saying, is not even “dog durable,” according to Karissa. Luca most likely believes the toy is one of her own types because it resembles her. Images of Luca cuddling with the soft toy, on the other hand, won hearts everywhere!
