A soldier who was 69 years old and in the clinic wanted to visit his favorite dog one final time.
The guy’s name was John Vincent. He served in Vietnam. Because the man has no relatives in New Mexico, he was unable to find someone to care for the dog.
The man surrendered the dog to an animal shelter for care. Yorkshire Terrier was the breed of the canine. Patch was his name.
The dog was being cared for by Albuquerque Animal Welfare. They were told that the elderly man wanted to see his dog one more time.
The shelter arranged for their reunion, which was both heartwarming and emotional. The man and the dog bid their goodbyes. This was a touching scene.
The veteran’s last request was granted, and it is a wonderful honor for the shelter to bring the dog and fulfill the veteran’s final wish. The dog has been adopted and will have a permanent home.
