Some claim – and we have good reason to believe them – that postmen and the dogs on their route are everything but friendly. But these two best pals will undoubtedly disagree. A mailman in New Zealand – obviously a dog lover – and a German Shepherd with a bad reputation in the area were captured on tape having a beautiful moment!
German Shepherds are recognized for being among the kindest dogs, but for those who don’t know him, this nine-month-old puppy is quite misunderstood. That prompted Michael Collins, the dog’s owner, to install a covert camera to monitor his dog’s behavior around outsiders. But he had the biggest surprise in store.
As soon as the postman approaches, the dog appears to be more friendly than ever. And he’s not simply sitting there with his tail wagging; he’s greeting his secret pal for a stroking session. You can imagine the owner’s reaction after witnessing the adorable relationship. And, guess what, it didn’t occur by accident; it was a daily occurrence for these 2.
“Whether we receive mail or not, this mailman constantly stops to meet my dog, who is about 9 months old,” the owner remarked on Facebook. “He’s always regarded as a scary or unsociable dog, perhaps because he’s large, I’m not sure.” He doesn’t bark or growl at them (except for the rare couple of times he does, but what dog doesn’t?). But this guy here always gets off his bike and gives him a hug and a pat!”
